Playing with Ben Crenshaw in the final round of the 1996 British Open.

Most memorable round of golf?

Playing a round of golf with Sandy Lyle two days after he won the US Masters in 1988.

Proudest golfing moment?

Looking back at 1990 and the achievement of winning eleven tournaments in a row.

Most enjoyable golf course you’ve ever played on?

St Andrew’s, simply because of its history.

Best place you’ve ever visited as a golfer?

South Africa.

The person/people who has/have inspired you the most in your career?

Alec Lyle, Sandy’s father, who coached me, and Pete Cowen.

What do you enjoy most about coaching?

Seeing people getting better.

A piece of advice for someone struggling with their game?

Look at the basics of your game and get some help.

Married to Michelle with two boys, Callum and Tom.  Both Callum and Tom started playing golf at a young age and both of them have won a number of junior competitions.
